The name and design of the Rima Chair are inspired by the Moon. Rima Ariadaeus is a linear fissure located on the eastern side of the Moon according to the lunar coordinate system. It takes its name from the Ariadaeus crater at the eastern end of the fissure.
The form and texture of Rima were entirely handcrafted, representing this linear fissure and crater on the Moon using traditional techniques, and it now becomes part of our living spaces.
