A small side table series symbolizing the importance of dining culture in Ottoman palace life in the simplest and most elegant way.
During the Ottoman period, many architects, artists, and state officials—primarily from France and Italy—came to these lands for various duties. Most of them left us a legacy of visual and textual data through their observations and experiences during their tenure.
The patterns used in this series are inspired by and selected from engravings depicting human portraits drawn by officials observing daily and palace life of the period, faithfully conveying real details. Each pattern has an authentic historical reference, serving as a visual archive.
The hands depicted in the patterns on the tables represent the serving of water, sherbet, and cologne.
They are sold individually; the price applies to a single piece.
